Los Angeles, California, December 18, 2011— Voters Injured at Work, a non-profit organization advocating for those navigating the workers’ compensation process, S.I.R. Practice Solutions and Latino Comp will host a breakfast fundraiser on Sunday, December 18 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Central City Community Church on Skid Row.
VIAW, S.I.R. Practice Solutions and Latino Comp have come together during the holiday season to give back to the Los Angeles community. Founders and staff, of the affiliated groups, are aware of the trials and tribulations that many in our society face on a day-to-day basis, particularly the homeless community.
Since its 2005 founding, VIAW has provided resources and advocacy for employees injured on the job through case management as well as working on legislation with State lawmakers to improve the workers’ compensation process Latino Comp, active since 1995, is a group of legal professionals that have enhanced the quality of representation for clients at the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board.
Executive Director, Sherist Rodriguez of S.I.R. Practice Solutions has organized the event. Ms. Rodriguez, her staff and volunteers have spearheaded efforts to collect clothing, blanket and toy donations.
